    KITA and NH Trading Co-hosted On/Offline Business Meeting on Exportation with Korean Manufacturers


    - Further support will be provided for selected outstanding companies for participation in the second business meeting with NH Trading's overseas partners in June and local promotion exhibition in September - 


     The Korea International Trade Association (Chairman: Christopher Koo) held ‘NH Trading-Manufacturers On/Offline Business Meeting on Exportation’ at COEX in Samseong-dong in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy on May 12th.


     This meeting was designed to help Korean small and medium-sized food & beverage manufacturers expand overseas sales channels by utilizing the specialized trading company NH Trading’s global network. 31 Korean companies including processed food, baby food, pet food and beverage manufacturing companies participated in the meeting.


     The staff from the NH Trading were stationed at the conference hall by items they were in charge of, and the participating companies joined the meeting either online or in person depending on their situations. The NH Trading staff were able to conduct detailed meetings by trying out samples displayed at the venue. The NH staff carried out in-depth consultations by checking out the samples of manufacturing companies displayed at the venue.


     From the participating companies, the companies with outstanding product competitiveness and export potential will be selected to participate in the second non-face-to-face video conference on exportation with NH Trading's major overseas partners in the United States, Austria, Vietnam, and New Zealand in June. Afterwards, local promotion exhibitions with overseas partners will be held in September after reviewing the marketability and products that receive good responses from local consumers at the promotion will be actually exported.


     Kim Hyun-chul, head of the Global Marketing Group at the Korea International Trade Association, said, “Since NH Trading, a specialized trading company, directly purchases products and handles export and customs clearance for manufacturers, even a manufacturing company with no export experience and professional human resources will be able to secure fixed export customerd on good conditions,” and added, “As the pandemic prolongs, we will continue to promote hybrid business that combines online and offline.”
